These days, with the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Who still performing, it’s not unusual for a band whose members are now in their seventies reuniting to play music together once more – and Fairport Convention have gone one better with their own annual festival, Cropredy in Oxfordshire.

This 70-minute documentary honours the folk-rock pioneers as it explores how five young musicians from north London transformed English folk music for ever by fusing it with rock.

Original Fairport members relate their stories, and emotionally recall how the 1969 motorway crash that killed 19-year-old drummer Martin Lamble set Fairport on a path to becoming
music legends.
