Gino D’ACampo begins his 700-mile journey down the lesser-travelled east coast of his home country, Italy.
He begins in the jewel of the Adriatic, Venice, arriving, of course, by boat – pretending he’s James Bond as he speeds into the Grand Canal and the breathtaking beauty of this
Gino hops on board a gondola then samples the traditional lunch of the gondoliers, cicchetti – small bites of delicious flavours on bread – before rustling up a few of his own.
After a bit of lace-making on the colourful island of Burano, Gino uses the freshest of ingredients, bought at the iconic Rialto market, to create a crab and prosecco linguine.
