Zara treats uni student, Max, who’s addicted to pills and, when she diagnoses him with anorexia, his close friend Ella vows to help him get better. Meanwhile, a mishap in Heston’s scheduling means he has to plan a lecture on modern technology at the last minute. He sets about devising a Powerpoint presentation on his computer and is just finishing up when his computer crashes! He’s lost everything!
Unable to get any help from IT, it’s Valerie who gives Heston his epiphany when she notes that, even with all his technology, he’s back at square one. With that, Heston goes to the university and gives a very moving speech about how technology actually distances us, makes our lives more difficult. In words which resound over Ella comforting Max, Heston reaffirms there’s no substitute for human contact, empathy and support.
