Fletch has proved to be a tower of strength for consultant Ange Godard in recent months. Has she become smitten with the Holby favourite?
Through all the emotional turmoil of both the Holly Cartwright case and recently finding out colleague Dominic Copeland is her real son, Ange Godard has found an unlikely ally in Fletch, who comes to her aid again this week.
As Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) greets Ange (Dawn Steele) with breakfast at work, she reveals she has urgent paperwork to do for boss Hanssen. Having to deal with staff rotas and contracts as director of nursing, Fletch is the king of paperwork! So when he suggests they team up to get the job done, Ange is keen.
Once they get through the mountain of stats and numbers, Fletch thinks they’ve earned a cuppa. But Ange suggests something ‘stronger’, so the pair head off to Albie’s bar for a drink.
As Ange confides in Fletch about how she fears that Dom and her daughter Chloe won’t forgive her for recent revelations, Fletch assures her they will. Feeling comforted, Ange brushes Fletch’s arm and calls him a ‘gentleman’. Could a new romance be in the air?
Elsewhere, Isaac turns his attentions to Lofty. What does he want? And has something happened between Jac and salesman Ken? Surely not!
Holby City continues on Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
