Ziggy Astoni is puzzled by her boyfriend Dean Thompson's EXTRA moody behaviour on Home and Away. She's in for a SHOCK when he reveals the reason why...
Dean Thompson (played by Patrick O’Connor) has been left rattled by his mum Karen’s comments about future grandchildren on Home and Away (1:15pm/6:00pm on Channel 5, see our TV Guide for full listings).
Since his mum’s sudden departure from Summer Bay, Dean is being even more sulky than usual.
At first, Dean’s girlfriend Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) thinks Dean is upset because of Karen’s sudden departure to Reefton Lakes.
But as the surfer dude continues to avoid talking to her, Ziggy decides to confront Dean. But she’s in for a SHOCK when he reveals the REAL reason he doesn’t want to have kids… is because of Karen’s Schizoaffective Disorder.
It’s a genetic condition and Dean won’t risk passing that on to his kids. And if Ziggy has her heart set on becoming a mum one day, she should do herself a favour and break-up with him NOW!
Elsewhere in Summer Bay, Irene Roberts’s (Lynne McGranger) nightmare continues when she discovers Tommy O’Reilly is launching a civil case against her, after her violent actions left him in a wheelchair!
Tommy is demanding $1,000,000, which means Irene needs to sell everything she owns to pay him off, including her share of the Diner and the Beach House…
Leah Patterson (Ada Nicodemou) can’t believe Irene is considering giving-up and settling with Tommy after everything that happened in court and beyond.
Can Leah convince Irene to stay strong and continue the fight to make sure Tommy is the one who is brought to justice?
AND, there is finally some good news for the Astoni family, when Ben (Rohan Nichol) reveals the police think they have arrested the guy that smuggled illegal drugs using Ben’s surfboards.
With the suspect now in police custody, does this mean Ben’s name can officially be cleared and he can start getting his life, including his marriage to Maggie (Kestie Morassi) back on track?
Home and Away continues weekdays at 1:15pm and 6:00pm on Channel 5
