Alf Stewart and his daughter Roo are still trying to get to the bottom of Alf’s grandson Ryder Jackson’s recent unruly behaviour. But the teenager is in no mood for a cosy heart-to-heart, especially since his family appear to have forgotten it’s his 18th birthday.

So, instead, he stomps off to restaurant Salt to legally order a beer. However, when Ryder gets wind that his friend Raffy Morrison is being discharged from hospital and is returning home to live with the Morgan family, he decides to go round to the Morgan house to see her.

But Ryder interrupts Raffy’s happy family reunion with the Morgan clan and foster parents Marilyn Chambers and John Palmer, and everyone’s alarmed when they realise Ryder has had a few beers too many!

As the adults try to take control of the situation, Raffy snaps that everyone’s been making big decisions on her behalf, such as keeping Ryder away from her and deciding who she’s going to live with now she’s out of hospital. But now it’s time Raffy had her say!
