Another chance to see this film, first shown in 2014, looking back at Bette Midler’s 50-year career and the places that played a vital part in it. Alan Yentob’s interview with the singer is interspersed with amazing archive clips – including playing in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway in the 1960s and being accompanied by Dustin Hoffman on piano in a TV special. They discuss her stage persona ‘The Divine Miss M’, as well as her successful recording and film careers, while more recent footage of her in the studio shows she’s still got a fantastic voice.
