Under pressure from Karen, Rob agrees to give Imogen a driving lesson and sets about teaching Imogen the basics in detail. She finally manages to get in the driving seat, but as she takes to the road it’s obvious she’s not ready for the freedom and can’t understand Rob’s advice.

Imogen then spots Jack walking hand-in-hand with new girlfriend Sarah and narrowly misses some roadworks. Rob cuts the lesson short and takes Imogen home, where Rob tells Karen that if she’s so keen for Imogen to drive then she should take her out. Up for the challenge, Karen thinks Rob just can’t handle it and vows to teach Imogen to drive properly.

Meanwhile, Elaine’s day gets off to a bad start when she arrives ready for work at the Campus surgery, but learns that she should be at The Mill. Back at The Mill, Mrs Tembe wonders where she’s got to and is surprised to find Elaine asleep in her car outside The Mill.

Elaine manages to cover her tracks, saying she was reading until the early hours, convincing her colleagues that it’s no big deal. Later, Elaine agrees to meet Cherry, but gets distracted and forgets all about Cherry.

When she remembers, she rushes out to find Cherry but, in her haste, has a near miss on the road. Badly shaken, Elaine makes an urgent appointment to see her therapist Oliver, knowing she is barely holding it together.

Also, Cherry thinks she has hit the jackpot when she starts shopping for antiques – but are the bargains too good to be true?
