In Solitary

Volunteers attempt five days with no human contact at all

For how long could you endure solitary confinement? Presenter George Lamb – son of actor Larry – joins a group of volunteers attempting to find out as they cut themselves off from the outside world in this one-off ‘anti-social experiment’ from C5.

The volunteers are aiming to last five days and nights separated into ‘isolation pods’, armed with food, water, a bed and everything else they need to survive – but they can push a panic button at any time to stop the experiment.

They soon discover that solitary, which is used as a form of torture and punishment, is tougher than you might think, with one poor soul tearfully asking to be let out before five hours have elapsed!
