Still reeling from last night’s discovery that Martin’s an arsonist, Julia worries about having him round to dinner but when he calls she can’t bring herself to put him off. He arrives as she burns the dinner but he puts her so much at ease she can’t bear to bring up the arson.
When she does, Martin admits he was accused of arson but if she had bothered to check further she would have found out he was acquitted when a disgruntled employee was later convicted.
Julia apologises for being over-suspicious but Martin can’t see a future with a woman who doesn’t trust him. He thinks it’s all academic anyway as he is leaving Letherbridge for good in a few weeks and with that he’s gone.
Heston decides to replace all the things that were stolen bringing himself up-to-date with technology in the process. He seeks opinions from Elaine and Jimmi but just ends up blinded by science.
