Undercover cop Zain Nadir returns from his holiday with drug baron Kristen Shaw and when Kristen’s business partner, Paul Haskew, sees them reminiscing about their time away he tells Zain that he’s no longer required. Zain manages to curry favour with Haskew by telling him that the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) know that the drug deal is going ahead the next day suggesting they feed the cops a dummy location.

Later on, Zain secretly reveals to bar worker Chez that he was working undercover when he first asked to be introduced to Kristen, but now that he’s fallen in love with her, he has crossed over. Back at CID, Zain lies to DS Heaton, DCI Jack Meadows and SOCA’s Officer Swift that the deal is going ahead at Jamaica Docks…

Meanwhile, DI Neil Manson is investigating an attack on a woman named Jeannie after being alerted by her son. It’s suspected that she’s been sexually assaulted and when it’s discovered that known sex offender Gary Caldwell lives near Jeannie he’s hauled in for questioning. When evidence is found, Caldwell admits to the attack – then claims he didn’t do it. Neil begins to realise that the suspect may be a lot closer to home…

Elsewhere, Pc Will Fletcher awkwardly agrees to two weeks in Tenerife with Honey, but later reveals to Tony that his relationship with Honey was just meant to be a bit of fun.
