Howard, Emma and Mrs Tembe all arrive for work looking groomed. Adam phones Emma, who’s flirty as she confirms she’s still up for dinner tonight. Next, Annie phones Howard and suggests a place to meet this evening – she’s as mischievous as before and gets him giggling down the phone. Then Josh phones Mrs Tembe and Zara overhears and teases her – does she have a hot date tonight? Mrs Tembe flushes ‘certainly not’, adding she’s merely helping a friend.

Emma admits to Niamh that although she’s looking forward to tonight, she’s not sure she can see a future with Adam. Howard can’t resist telling Emma that he’s got a hot date tonight. Emma says she’s happy for him but then kicks herself that she didn’t tell Howard she also has a hot date that night so, when she gets the chance, she slips it into the conversation. Then they spend the afternoon trying to outdo each other…

All three ‘dates’ start well as Howard and Annie get on well, as do Josh and Mrs Tembe. However, over the course of their dinner, Emma gets increasingly annoyed by Adam, especially in his refusal to have an argument. At the end of the evening, Emma fakes a headache, Mrs Tembe and Josh have an awkward goodbye, while Howard and Annie finish their date in the bedroom…

Also, Kevin’s cousin asks him to help her son admit he is gay; however, his revelation shocks them both.
