James Martin channels Keith Floyd as he eats and drinks his way through France in Floyd’s old 2CV.

James is clearly a huge fan of Keith and borrows heavily from Floyd on France – there’s a lot of wine-drinking and enthusiastic arm-waving, and James even copies the way Keith regularly directed his long-suffering cameraman Clive.

James (with cameraman Rob) begins the weekday series in Saint-Emilion, where he first trained to be a chef.

The region is famed for producing some of the world’s best wine, which James uses to cook bordelaise sauce and poached pears in red wine.
