Following Jas’s revelation she’s leaving for Canada, Al wants to know if she’s leaving because of him but she reassures him that’s not the case – they part as friends. Meanwhile, Kevin’s planning a drinks gathering unaware Valerie has more elaborate plans and when she finally unveils the staff room, decked out in Canadian paraphernalia, while she sings the Canadian National Anthem, everyone is speechless.
Jas shares how lucky she feels to have known them all and, as she says her goodbyes, like a true Cinderella she drops her shoe, which Kevin picks up and puts back on her foot before she leaves with her Prince Charming… Aran. Looks like Jas finally has her happy ending.
Meanwhile, Heston gears up to hand out the parts for the panto. As Zara and Daniel bicker over who gets to perform for Joe, Heston offers Mrs Tembe the role of Fairy Godmother. Valerie practically hyperventilates when she hears she will be Cinderella and Daniel is happy to be an Ugly Sister, unlike Jimmi who refuses to wear a dress to play alongside him.
Howard’s disappointed to be given the small part of Baron Hardup, while Zara’s delighted with Prince Charming and Al discovers he’ll be Buttons. As half of the cast harangue Heston over his decisions, Jimmi backs out in a sulk prompting Zara to suggest he’s only complaining because he still blames Daniel for the end of his marriage. When Jimmi denies this, she accuses him of not being man enough to wear a dress in public!
