Following the recent flare-up of his OCD symptoms, Jimmi attends a support group meeting. Seeing Jimmi’s anxious, group leader Sinclair encourages him to come in; he doesn’t have to say anything but only listen. As Sinclair tells the group that everyone needs to find allies; anything they can that helps them deal with their OCD, Jimmi is drawn to a pretty young woman, Hermione, who is staring at him. 

Jimmi talks about recent events that have exacerbated his OCD: his relationship with Jas, his terrible time in the panto and his kiss with Zara. He’s certain his OCD can’t be cured when Hermione interrupts – is he sure? The NHS says it can. As Jimmi balks at her suggestion, Hermione reveals she’s coming off her meds and is experimenting with new techniques that she feels are helping her – she’s going to cure herself.

Intrigued by Hermione’s incredible energy and seeming confidence, Jimmi tries to find her after the session. As he spots her walking across the car park, she turns back and gives him a coy little wave…

Meanwhile, after the events of the last two days, Howard’s being exceptionally fastidious and tells Mrs Tembe he’s going to be keeping a firm eye on everyone’s time-keeping. To keep them all on their toes, Howard secretly changes all the clocks in the surgery so that they’re 10 minutes fast. But when his cunning plan is finally revealed, the staff are not amused… especially Zara.

Also, Valerie is hyper-excited by the presence of her favourite TV presenter, who is giving a talk at the University, and teams up with a timid young woman with a secret to attend. But the pair of them soon learn why everybody says ‘never meet your idols’…
