As Howard’s prized echocardiogram is delivered to The Mill, Liam tries to curry favour with mentor Heston by looking down his nose at it. Kevin watches as the student scurries around after Heston for the rest of the day, overreacting to every comment and trying far too hard to impress. When Liam spills a mug of tea all over Heston’s paperwork, he complains to Kevin that he’s making a meal of everything – this is his great opportunity and it’s going badly.

Kevin tells Liam he needs to think about his area of specialty. Kevin’s got cardiology. Heston suggests surgery (following his own interests).  But Liam’s got his own idea – pharmacology. Yes, medication, Heston approves. That’s not quite the drugs Liam meant, but he doesn’t say a thing to the others.

Leaving her house in the morning, Jas finds a rose on the windscreen of her car. No note, no name, just the rose. She asks Karen and Kevin for advice but Kevin just mocks her, suggesting it’s an elderly patient hoping for a bit of romance. When leaving at the end of the day, though, Jas gets a darker warning from Emma. They do run into some weirdos in their line of work – what might seem innocent could be something much bigger and eerier…

Also, Al tries to help out a girl being bullied by a young gangster, only to find out that not everything is as it seems…
