Linda is petrified when she’s forced to sit next to Dean, after Mick’s invitation to Dean and Stacey to come upstairs for cocktails. When she’s left alone with Dean, Linda struggles not to lose it. Dean is still completely deluded about what happened, claiming they should ‘end things’ to stop Mick getting hurt. In the kitchen, Stacey corners Mick, asking him if he knows that Alfie torched the Slater house. Mick tries to defend Alfie, infuriating Stacey, who decides to leave.



Dean goes with Stacey when she leaves the Vic, inviting her back to his, suggesting she could rent his old room if she needs a place to stay. Returning to Masood’s, Stacy finds a drunk Alfie, who confesses that the insurance money has fallen through and he doesn’t know what to do…



Ronnie packs a bag, convinced Charlie is going to arrest her following her confessing to murder. Charlie talks to Dot, who reassures him that Ronnie is a great girl, despite her difficult past. Charlie catches Ronnie just in time, confessing that he’s not a policeman – and Nick is still alive! Stunned, Ronnie insists Charlie tells Dot, but he refuses. Thinking it’s over between them, Charlie shakes Ronnie’s hand, but Ronnie finds the engagement ring…
