A four-part drama tells the devastating story of schoolboy Rhys Jones's murder
On 22 August 2007, Rhys Jones was murdered in Liverpool.
The 11-year-old Everton supporter was walking home from football practice when he was fatally shot.
This drama tells what happened that awful day, how his family coped and how the police searched for his killer.
It’s a well-made drama – Stephen Graham is great as the police officer leading the investigation, DS Dave Kelly, as are Sinead Keenan and Brían F. O’Byrne as Rhys’s parents Mel and Steve – but heartbreaking to watch.
It’s comforting to know that the drama was made with the family’s support, and we can only hope it helps them in some way, too.
