Set in a fairy-tale London, writer-director Richard Curtis' corny romcom is a treat for romantics
Set in a fairy-tale London, writer-director Richard Curtis’ corny romcom is a treat for romantics.
Telling several intertwined stories, its main focus is on Prime Minister Hugh Grant falling for cockney tea girl Martine McCutcheon.
Other strands include Liam Neeson dealing with his child’s first crush, jaded pop star Bill Nighy having to release a cheesy Christmas record and Emma Thompson worrying that husband Alan Rickman is unfaithful.
Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Martin Freeman and Kris Marshall are among the other big names on board and the whole cast enters into the festive spirit of it.
