Marina helps Mrs Tembe

Mrs Tembe is both excited and anxious about the arrival of Akono Mezu, the Nigerian student she has volunteered to house during his studies in Letherbridge. She wants to ensure she has everything Akono might want but ends up even more panicked about not being up to standard for her guest and decides to take the afternoon off to buy some things and clean the house.

Marina attempts to offer some support to Mrs Tembe but it falls on deaf ears but Marina quickly realises that, as a favour to Heston, she must try harder. Marina checks in on Mrs Tembe at home and offers to cast an eye over the house for suitability. Marina makes Mrs Tembe realise that Akono is lucky to be staying with her, putting Mrs Tembe’s mind at rest. Mrs Tembe tells Marina that Heston is lucky to have her – but Marina tells her she is the lucky one.
