The ovens are hot and the pans are at the ready!

It’s time for another 48 professional chefs to risk their reputations as they bid to cook their way to greatness in the 10th series of MasterChef: The Professionals.

Returning to put the chefs through their paces are two-Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing, renowned chef Monica Galetti and MasterChef judge – and professional eater – Gregg Wallace.

As the heats begin this week, the first 12 chefs will compete across two shows for a place in the first quarter-final.

In an all-new Skills Test, the chefs must cook a dish of their own design using a duck breast. How will they fare under pressure? Continues tomorrow.
