A guilty Shane decides to tell Mackenzie about the part he played in her family's break-up on Neighbours. But how will she deal with the bombshell?
Shane Rebecchi (played by Nicholas Coghlan) has started to form a dad-daughter relationship with transgender teenager Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) on Neighbours, since she came to Erinsborough asking for Shane’s help in tracking down her estranged father, Grant.
However, unknown to Mackenzie, Shane has been hiding a BIG secret. As Shane has already confided in his wife Dipi (Sharon Johal), he was partly to blame for the break-up of Mackenzie’s family back when they were all still neighbours…
Shane believes he has new information which could lead to the whereabouts of Grant, leaving Mackenzie both thoughtful and worried over the reality of facing the father who rejected her.
During a heart-to-heart with Shane, Mackenzie reveals a painful memory in which her dad burned all her feminine belongings. During that moment, Shane realises the terrible part he played in encouraging Grant’s actions against his son Michael, who had secretly begun to dress-up as a girl.
But how will Mackenzie react when Shane finally decides to come clean about what happened all those years ago?
Meanwhile, Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) and his husband David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) have called a truce with neighbour Finn Kelly (Rob Mills) over his cruel baby comments, thanks to the peacekeeping efforts of Finn’s visiting brother Shaun Watkins (Brad Moller).
Shaun is the father of Elly Conway’s (Jodi Anasta) unborn baby. But does he have another reason for being back in Erinsborough?
After David overhears Shaun having a shifty conversation on the phone about pregnant Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) and notices Shaun covering-up some secret documents in front of him, David starts to wonder what exactly Shaun is up to…
