David Attenborough meets the Queen to talk about her vision for preserving forests in The Queen’s Green Planet

What happened when Sir David Attenborough and Queen Elizabeth took a stroll round the gardens of Buckingham Palace last Summer?

All is revealed in this one-off documentary made to celebrate a new initiative called The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy, which is committed to preserving natural habitats across the 52 nations of the Commonwealth for future generations.

It’s certainly a worthy venture, but what’s more interesting is eavesdropping on what these two venerable figures – who were born within a month of each other in 1926 – chat about as they take a turn around the Palace grounds.
