Rob has his interview and is trying to play it cool. He thinks he has it in the bag especially when he meets the other candidate Rajesh Chopra who is a young inexperienced copper. Despite being young, Raj does a great interview and the panel are impressed.
In sharp contrast, DCI Driver really puts Rob through his paces leaving his confidence in tatters. He tries to underplay it with Karen but she knows there is something he isn’t telling her.
It’s a hollow victory for Zara when she teases Daniel for sleeping on the sofa when they have a spare room, as he is not amused.
At work, she apologises and he says she can make it up to him by signing for some things he is having delivered to the house at lunchtime but Zara is horrified when she takes delivery of a huge ceramic dog statue.
When Daniel arrives home he is delighted to see Ruprecht the dog but Zara gives him the ultimatum, it’s her or the dog!
Meanwhile, Mrs Tembe helps an old man whose unrequited love for his friend puts her in danger.
