The excellent Will Ferrell teams up with the equally funny John C Reilly for this daft comedy about two selfish, nearly 40-year-old layabouts.
They both still live at home and revert to behaving like big kids when they become competitive stepbrothers and have to share a room after Ferrell’s mum (Mary Steenburgen) marries Reilly’s dad (Richard Jenkins).
Though the fun really starts when they declare themselvess ‘best friends’ – just wait for the moment when they decide to turn their beds into a bunk bed.
This comedy is mean-spirted, non-PC – and totally hilarious. Ferrell and Reilly forge a brilliant partnership, while Steenburgen and, especially, Jenkins are marvellous foils.
