Yes, at long last it’s time to glory in sequins and shimmy round your living room, as Strictly returns to our screens.

Fifteen brand-new celebrities, including Faye Tozer from Steps, Danny John-Jules from Death in Paradise and presenter Katie Piper will anxiously await news of who their professional partner will be, while our fab-u-lous four judges look on with interest.

Head judge Shirley Ballas

TV Times caught up with head judge Shirley Ballas, 57, who said of the line up:

‘I think it’s a really good mix! I like different types of people – those who have a bit of knowledge of moving to music, those who have none at all and
I love people in their 50s! I don’t mind as long as they bring their work ethic.’

Aside from the matchmaking, we’re guaranteed stupendous professional numbers, a chance to see the celebs in action in a very special group dance and hip-shaking music from Nile Rodgers and Craig David.

We’re jumping out of our chairs with excitement, just like Bruno Tonioli!
