*Suzanne Shaw won the third series of Dancing on Ice*
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV1 in January. Stars rumoured to be taking part this year include Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett and former EastEnders star EastEnder Gemma Bissix. Keep logging on for more information…
Sunday nights will be getting a whole lot cooler as 12 new celebrity faces take to the rink for the third series of Dancing On Ice.
Hosted once again by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, the pro-celebrity ice-dancing contest sees the stars and their professional partners risk broken bones – and bruised egos – as they try to impress both a panel of expert judges and the viewers at home, who’ll be voting each week to keep their favourite in the competition.
This time round, stars from the world of TV, music and sport will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of past winners actress Gaynor Faye and rugby star Kyran Bracken, who was crowned Dancing On Ice champion in 2007.
Among those in this year’s line-up are Hollyoaks heartthrob Chris Fountain, ex-Emmerdale actress Linda Lusardi, Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates and tennis ace Greg Rusedski.
Once again, Britain’s favourite ice-skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be on hand to coach the stars – but this series welcomes a new judge, West End star Ruthie Henshall. And, rumour has it, that things are already a bit frosty between Ruthie and the show’s Mr Nasty, Jason Gardiner…
Last year, more than 10 million viewers watched Kyran skate to victory after a nail-biting finale with actress Clare Buckfield and former Blue singer Duncan James. But who will triumph on the ice this year? And who will fall flat on their face? For all the news as it happens, log onto www.whatsontv.co.uk.
