The drama based on Gerald Durrell's much-loved Corfu trilogy returns
Spring is here, the daffodils are out and, to top it all, this joyful sun-drenched Sunday night drama is back. Hooray!
As we rejoin the bickering Durrell family in Corfu, the scenery is as stunning as ever but life isn’t looking quite as rosy.
Poor Louisa (played impeccably by the brilliant Keeley Hawes) is overrun with Gerry’s animals, nursing a bruised heart after her split with Sven and struggling on her widow’s pension.
Her plan is to sell English food to the locals, but they’re not quite as impressed with her toad-in-the-hole as she had hoped.
Throw in a nasty new landlady and there could be trouble in paradise…
