Wrongly convicted of murdering his wife, doctor Harrison Ford goes on the run after the bus in which he is being transported to prison collides with a train. Ford is then pursued by deputy US marshal Tommy Lee Jones and a team of Federal agents as he tries to prove his innocence by tracking down his wife’s real killer.

This is fast-paced, twisting, edge-of-your-seat entertainment of the highest order. Jones has the showier role, gets all the best lines and is perfect for the part (he won an Oscar), but Ford is an equally charismatic presence, conveying pain and wronged virtue in his usual quiet, understated fashion.

Adapted from the 1960s TV series of the same name starring David Janssen, this breathtaking 1990s thriller is definitely an upgrade. Not to be missed.
