The Moonstone

Cold Feet's John Thomson stars in this adaptation of Wilkie Collins' detective novel about the hunt for an illusive gem

Obsessed as we are with Judge Rinder, and much as we love watching Loose Women over lunch, sometimes it’s nice to be transported away with a brilliant drama during the afternoon. Luckily, the BBC have read our minds and produced a lavish period crime mystery to keep us entertained.

This five-part adaptation of Wilkie Collins’ detective novel stars John Thomson as Sergeant Cuff, the man tasked with finding a stolen jewel – the titular ‘moonstone’, which is as much of a curse as it is a family heirloom.

Watch out for a great performance from Miranda’s Sarah Hadland as do-gooding busybody Miss Clack. Showing weekday afternoons until Friday.
