The villagers are still in danger as the disaster and horror scene that kicked off when an explosion caused a helicopter to crash into the village hall at Debbie and Pete’s wedding reception rages on.

At the hospital, Pete threatens to kill Ross if he doesn’t leave. Back in the village, Dan and Kerry emerge from the hall, shattered by Ruby’s death. Kyle, however, is still missing and Cain is now determined to find his son. As flames lick round the building, Cain finds Kyle cowering in a cupboard among the debris. He’s unable to reach his young son and Kyle is too scared to budge. When the emergency services finally arrive on the scene, Cain refuses to abandon Kyle. Left alone inside, Cain talks aloud to himself and Kyle, who’s hiding, confessing to having been a terrible dad to Debbie, who he’s not sure is dead or alive. Kyle slowly creeps out and Cain grabs his little hand. Just then, the place explodes… Thinking Cain is dead, Moira is inconsolable. But her heart flips when he emerges from the smoke of the explosion, carrying Kyle in his arms.

As the Hall of Mirrors explodes, too, Val and Diane, who have been found but not rescued, are floored and covered in broken glass. They’re both alive. As the banter to take their mind off it, Val notices a dangerous piece of glass dangling above her and knows if it falls, she’s a goner. As a fireman enters to rescue them, Val insists Diane is taken first. But before their rescuer can make it back for ‘HI-Val’ as she dubs herself, the glass falls…

Devastated, tormented Pete, meanwhile, is keeping vigil at Debbie’s bedside. When Ross dares to enter, desperate to see Debbie, Pete flips. Unable to contain himself, outside, Pete attacks Ross, beating him silly. Soon, Ross is lying lifeless on the ground. And later, in the same state, in the boot of Pete’s car…
