Another winner from director Edgar Wright and his co-writer and star Simon Pegg, following Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Slacker Pegg cajoles his estranged, now-sensible and unwilling childhood friends Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Eddie Marsan into going back to their home town to re-create an epic pub crawl, 12 pints in 12 pubs, they failed to finish as teenage mates.

However, it soon becomes clear that something very weird is going on with the locals…

The film is stuffed with glorious gags and fizzing action scenes but, at heart, it is a pertinent and hilarious story of male friendship and the perils of hanging onto the past.
