As the gruelling cycling race kicks off, Chris Froome has a great chance to successfully defend his Tour de France title, aided by the inclusion of some of nasty-looking time trials that will suit him down to the ground. Today the sprinters will try to make time as they set off from starting point Mont Saint-Michel, but the arduous mountains come into play as early as stage five and that’s when the going gets tough.
