The Queen is back in action – but a bump in the road is coming. Having already felt sidelined during her pregnancy and irritated at the thought of being seen as a ‘brood mare’, Victoria has finally returned to the driving seat – but her confidence is shaken when she worries that Albert has his eye on mathematician and writer Ada Lovelace (Call the Midwife star Emerald Fennell).

Then Victoria realises that she’s pregnant again… Downstairs, meanwhile, new dresser Cleary (Tilly Steele) thinks the Palace might be haunted after things start disappearing – but, sadly, it looks like there’s a much more pedestrian explanation.

Victoria may resemble Downton with added royals, but we’re quite happy to settle down in front of this entertaining drama of a Sunday evening!
