In central southern France is the Cevennes National Park – a rugged landscape that’s the least populated region of the whole country. From empty plateaus with stone circles to dense forests, it’s a wild area that contains some unexpected wildlife. First up, Ray meets an expert on vultures, which were near extinction 30 years ago but have been reintroduced. Another predator that has slowly reintroduced itself is the wolf – a strange, slightly haunting sight, but magnificent nonetheless.
