Please, Miss, Ros fancies you! That’s the shocker that results in Head of Languages Jo Lipsett being suspended and leaves her wondering if her career at Waterloo Road is over before it has barely begun…

Since arriving at the school, Jo has proved to be a popular and effective teacher. Staff and pupils appreciate her passion for her work – and the fact that she’s gay has never really been a problem… until now. Jo’s star pupil, Ros, hasn’t only been developing her French; she’s also been nurturing some strong feelings for her teacher. And when Ros scores well in her exam, she thinks she can also score with Jo and gives her a kiss. Humiliated and hurt, Ros tells Jo she loves her, but when Jo tells Ros the feelings are not mutual Ros accuses her of misconduct and Rachel suspends her.

Jo isn’t Rachel’s only problem, though. Depressed Cookery teacher Ruby is popping pills like they’re sweeties and accidentally sets off the fire alarm. Then there’s new school chef Adam, who always wants to change things. Feeling as if there’s not enough of her to go around, Rachel makes a decision that will change her life – and life at Waterloo Road…
