Eilidh Doyle and Laura Muir go for gold on the last day
It’s been a thrilling 10 days of athletics, including the sight of sprint superstar Usain Bolt giving
it his all during his final season on the track.
The World Championships, held at the former Olympic Stadium, now known as the London Stadium, come to a close today with the women’s 5000m and 800m, men’s 1500m, and women’s and men’s 4x400m relays among the highlights.
The Scottish ladies dominate Team GB with Eilidh Doyle running the 4x400m and hoping to improve on the bronze she won at the Rio Olympics last year, while the unstoppable Laura Muir will be hoping to continue her record-breaking year in the 5000m.
