A new one-off documentary, A Year of British Murder, reveals the terrible toll on the victims and their grieving families

Quamari Serunkuma-Barnes was 15 when he was stabbed to death outside his London school in January 2017.

Tragically, that year in Britain, 768 people died as a result of murder or manslaughter, and Quamari’s story is one of 13 told in this film revealing the impact such crimes have on
victims’ families.

We see Quamari’s parents, Paul (pictured top) and Lillian, in tearful scenes outside court after their son’s 15-year-old killer is sentenced.
