The Maalik family is in for a big surprise when a new family member jets in from Australia and turns up on their doorstep!
The Maalik family gets a boost next week in Hollyoaks when party-loving Azim Desai, Sami’s half-brother, turns up on their door step.
Azim, who has been living in Australia and is played by actor Nav Sidhu, is an events organiser who travels the world and is used to living the high-life.
So what better person to come on board just in time to arrange his half brother, Sami’s, engagement party to new fiancé Sinead O’Connor (Stephanie Davies).
Speaking about his character, newcomer Nav says, “Nazim is a total legend. I’d describe him as kind, energetic. He’s smart, he’s fun and is single and ready to mingle.”
Always the life and the soul of any party, Nazim wastes no time next week in throwing himself into getting the engagement celebrations started!
Viewers will see Azim, who was first mentioned on Hollyoaks in mid-August after he wished the Maaliks a happy Eid, get a huge wake-up call not long after his arrival which prompts him to stay in Chester and spend more time with his family.
Meanwhile he soon finds himself embroiled in the Far Right storyline involving Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) and Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons) who have launched a racist hate campaign against the Maaliks and are planning a new attack!
Also on Hollyoaks, next week Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) is back after visiting her mum in Alicante, and it’s clear something is bothering her. Her husband Sylver (David Tag) is concerned that she may be back on drugs, but instead, Mercedes confides in Nana (Diane Langton) that she’s pregnant!
Plus Juliet Quinn (Niamh Blackshaw) is stunned to discover that Brooke Hathaway (Talia Grant) is pregnant, and quickly hatches a wicked plan when she convinces Brooke to stay off school.
See Nazim’s first appearance on screen on Thursday 12th September on E4 at 7pm.
