Bonnie Tyler to star in Hollyoaks

Eighties pop star Bonnie Tyler is to make a cameo appearance in Hollyoaks‘ E4 spin-off.

The Total Eclipse Of The Heart singer will turn up in a vision in an episode of Hollyoaks Later, to be screened on October 2.

As an imprisoned Carmel McQueen (Gemma Merna) bemoans her plight, the songstress will appear – before dishing out some words of wisdom on the opposite sex.

The pair will then sing an impromptu duet of Bonnie’s hit I Need A Hero, promoting the arrival of Carmel’s very own hero.

Welsh-born Bonnie, 58, has had a career spanning more than three decades.

Hollyoaks’ producer, Bryan Kirkwood, said: “It’s a real coup for Hollyoaks Later to have Bonnie. We’re delighted she’s agreed to take part in what will be a hilarious and entertaining sequence.

“Hollyoaks Later is a cocktail of drama, comedy and slightly absurd fantasy which I’m sure viewers will love!”
