Hollyoaks stars Jessica Fox and Alice Barlow pulled on their pink leg warmers to get in training for Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbonwalk.

The girls, who play Nancy Hayton and Rae, are taking part in the charity walk, sponsored by Santander in association with woman&home. They will be joined by women from around the UK who choose to walk 10 or 20 miles, dressed in pink, to raise money.

Jessica said: “I’ll be taking part in the Pink Ribbonwalk because Breast Cancer Care makes a real difference to the 46,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

“By taking part in the walk you will help Breast Cancer Care to provide information and support services like their fantastic helpline, discussion forums, one-to-one support sessions and website, so that no one need face a breast cancer diagnosis alone.”

Alice added: “It’s a fantastic way to get fit while raising funds for a fantastic charity which provides vital support services for anyone affected by breast cancer.”

It costs £30 to register and walkers are required to raise a minimum of £175 worth of sponsorship to help fund Breast Cancer Care’s vital support services.

That could be a £10 donation from just 18 relatives, colleagues or friends.

The walk takes place at four country manors – Scone Palace in Perthshire on Saturday May 14, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire on Saturday May 21, Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire on Saturday June 4 and Petworth House, West Sussex on Saturday June 11.

After choosing to walk 10 or 20 miles women can enjoy a fete at each event with entertainment and a barbecue.

People can register at www.pinkribbonwalk.org.uk or by calling 0870 145 0101.
