Hollyoaks‘ late-night spin-off, Hollyoaks Later, will return to E4 for a second series in the autumn.
Following the success of its debut last November, Hollyoaks Later will consist of five one-hour episodes to be shown over consecutive nights in September.
Screened in the 10pm timeslot, Hollyoaks Later delves deeper into the lives of many Hollyoaks favourites as they seek to shed their teen image away from the village.
In the second series, the Ashworth siblings head for a music festival while Hollyoaks’ odd couple, Tony and Cindy, look certain to tie the knot.
And a bootcamp from hell ends with nightmare consequences for Sarah, Lydia and Zoe.
The first series of Hollyoaks Later saw Sarah and Zoe (pictured) take their friendship to another level.
Camilla Campbell, commissioning editor for Drama at Channel 4, said: “I’m delighted to commission another run of Hollyoaks Later, building on its success on E4 last year, as well as the continued success of the main show.
Hollyoaks’ producer Bryan Kirkwood added: “We’ve selected some of the best loved Hollyoaks characters, put them in romantic, funny and dangerous situations and I’m hoping viewers love the result.
