Hollyoaks‘ Ricky Whittle is already anticipating his demanding schedule once Strictly Come Dancing gets under way.
The 27-year-old, who plays hunky police officer Calvin Valentine in the soap, has his work cut out, as he will have to fit in his dance practice in between his usual filming schedule.
“I’m going to be working two jobs, it’s going to be quite hard for me,” he admitted.
“I’m going to be filming from seven until seven at Hollyoaks. I’ve got a very big storyline coming up, so I’m going to be manic with filming and then straight to the dance studio with Natalie (Lowe, dance partner). She’s going to have to come up to Liverpool to rehearse and then we’ll dance until they kick us out basically – 10 or 11pm.”
Ricky – who’s competing alongside fellow soap stars Craig Kelly and Ricky Groves for the dancing crown – insists that he wants more time.
“There’s just not enough time. It goes by so quickly,” he said.
“We rehearsed for four hours yesterday – it felt like an hour, it just whizzed by. I want to keep going, but obviously I’ve got to be at work for seven in the morning, so I’ve got to sleep at some time.”
