Jamie Lomas returns to Hollyoaks as Warren Fox (VIDEO)

The new Hollyoaks spring trailer features the debut of Rachel Adedeji as the real Lisa Loveday and the surprise return of Jamie Lomas as villain Warren Fox.

Jamie left Hollyoaks in 2011 and went onto star in EastEnders as alcoholic Jake Stone, but left that role last year.

His character, Warren, left Hollyoaks in 2011 in a dramatic twist of fate after he was double-crossed by lover Mitzeee Minniver. He was arrested for one of the show’s most memorable murders, that of Louise Summers, his wife who he killed on their wedding day in 2008.

Since his first appearance in 2006, wicked Warren has been involved in drug dealing, murder and the ‘Who Pushed Clare’ mystery storyline. His past romances include Mercedes McQueen, Mandy Richardson, Sasha Valentine and Clare Devine. When Warren returns this summer he’ll encounter former lover Mercedes McQueen and sister of the partner who betrayed him, Maxine Blake.

Hollyoaks’ boss Bryan Kirkwood said: “Jamie Lomas’s wickedly irresistible creation Warren Fox is one of Hollyoaks’ all-time greatest villains and leading men. I couldn’t be happier to see Warren come home to Chester to create more havoc, settle some old scores and find new love with at least one of our leading ladies. Jamie is a much loved member of the Hollyoaks family and we’re delighted to have him back on set.”

Jamie said: “I am absolutely delighted to be returning to Hollyoaks, Warren Fox is a character I relish playing, and working with my good friend Bryan Kirkwood again will be a pleasure. Warren has been away for a number of years, so it’s like starting with a blank canvas. Hollyoaks fans both old and new, will get to see Warren back to his old tricks very soon.”

Meanwhile, former 2009 X Factor finalist Rachel will play the real Lisa Loveday – the lost daughter of Simone and Louis Loveday who, until now, have believed that they were reunited with their daughter last year, but have been living with an imposter. She will appear on screen for the first time in April.

Rachel said: “I am so excited to have joined Hollyoaks and be part of the Loveday family who are brilliant actors and already feel like an extension of my own family! It is quite a pressure to be coming in as the real Lisa Loveday as she is such an anticipated arrival in Hollyoaks village.

“I think it’s fair to say that the audience have hoped that we would at some point get to meet the real Lisa and although I can’t say too much, the fallout is big and far-reaching. What has happened to Lisa so far in her life has turned her into a tough cookie and it has been great to bring that to life on screen.”
