Hollyoaks village is to see the arrival of a new family, The Lovedays, a close-knit threesome looking for a fresh start.

Jacqueline Boatswain, Karl Collins and Duayne Boachie have joined the cast of the Channel 4 soap to play the new nuclear family, who will first appear on screens later this month.

Jacqueline Boatswain plays self-appointed head of the family Simone, a ‘formidable presence’ who will take over the running of Price Slice.

Karl Collins will play Louis, the new deputy head at Hollyoaks High, tasked with working alongside menacing headmaster Patrick Blake.

Promising footballer Zack, played by Duayne Boachie, will enrol as a student in the school.

Hollyoaks’ executive producer Bryan Kirkwood said: “We are honoured and thrilled to welcome actors with the wealth of experience that Jacqueline Boatswain and Karl Collins bring with them to the show.”
