Home and Away star Dan Ewing has revealed he’s leaving the show.

There had been speculation that the 28-year-old, who has played Heath Braxton on the Australian soap for three years, would be making his exit following his signing to a US talent management company.

He confirmed the news to Australia’s TV Week, saying: “I will say I do go, but I am not sure about the exact date yet. It will be fun – and scary.”

Dan hinted that his co-stars Steve Peacocke and Lincoln Younes, who play his screen siblings Brax and Casey, would join him in leaving the show.

“They are going to scatter us a bit. We are not all going to leave at the same time,” he explained.

Dan teased that their departures would need to be dramatically different.

He added: “One of us has to die. It could be a cool exit like a shark attack. One has to get a career elsewhere, and another has to follow a chick out of town. Another might stay longer.”

Brothers Heath, Casey and Brax, known as the River Boys, have made waves in Summer Bay since they arrived in 2011.

“I think the River Boys did bring something different. They brought a new edge to the show,” the actor added.
