Home and Away fans in the UK can expect much ‘lighter’ storylines next year, according to the Australian soap’s producer.
Series producer Cameron Welsh promised that 2010 will bring a ‘better balance’ of drama and fun in the Five soap.
He told Inside Soap magazine: “We want more warmth and heart for next year. You’ll see a little more lightness in the stories.”
Cameron also revealed that UK viewers will see the dramatic climax to the soap’s ongoing mystery at the end of January.
He revealed that the year-long plot was mapped out before it started, saying: “We knew exactly what we wanted to do, and how to get there.
“Audiences will see that when we start the 2010 season. Viewers in the UK are going to see the big climax to the plot at the end of January.”
Cameron said the storyline will gather momentum as the end of the year approaches, adding: “There are clues as to what’s going on, so it’s important to tune in often.”
