Home and Away‘s Axle Whitehead has hinted that life will get better for his character in the soap.

In recent weeks, viewers of the Austrialian soap have seen his character, Liam Murphy, turn back to drugs after being dropped by his record label and losing his job as a music teacher.

But Axle assured whatsontv.co.uk that Liam will get his life back on track.

He said: “Things end up pretty bad for Liam, but towards the end of the year there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

Axle added that the current storyline has been one of his most enjoyable in the two years he’s been in the show.

“What’s on air at the moment has been a lot fun to play. I’ve enjoyed getting a juicy storyline that I can really sink my teeth into.”

Home and Away can be seen weeknights at 6pm on Channel 5.
