I’m A Celebrity… champion Gino D’Acampo plans to challenge the likes of Gordon Ramsay by launching his own TV cookery show – in which he is nice!

The Sun reports that D’Acampo, who was crowned king of the jungle on Friday night, has had enough of TV chefs who shout and criticise, and wants to front a show in which he encourages people to learn to cook by being helpful.

And according to the paper, he is set to begin talks with ITV.

“People view the kitchen as somewhere you go to be beaten up and criticised,” a source said. Gino wants to change all that.”

Other channels are also said to be interested in signing D’Acampo, but the insider added, “He doesn’t want to do anything that comes across the desk, there is no point in that. He has no interest in just being a personality.”

If all goes well, D’Acampo could follow in the footsteps of former jungle celebs Myleene Klass and Phil Tufnell, both of whom enjoyed a career boost from appearing on the show.

“The great thing about I’m A Celeb is it introduces the contestants to a new audience,” the source said.

“It has given the public a chance to see a more complete Gino.”
