Colin Baker has become the latest person to leave I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here after losing out to Eric Bristow in a head to head trial to determine which of them would go home.
The former Doctor Who and the darts legend took part in a challenge called Panic Rooms – which saw the pair having to reach into holes full of jungle critters to collect stars, while guided by fellow campers Charlie Brooks and Rosemary Shrager.
And after both had had their hauls of stars weighed, Eric was found to have picked up 262 grams worth compared to just 82 grams worth retrieved by Colin – and was promptly declared the winner, meaning that Colin had to leave camp straight away.
However he took the defeat gracefully, telling Ant and Dec afterwards that while he had enjoyed his time in the camp, he was pleased to be out.
It feels remarkably good. I must confess, it’s a moment I have in some ways been looking forward to,” he admitted.
And having described it as “a completely happy camp,” he was full of praise for his fellow jungle dwellers, admitting that he felt sorry for Helen Flanagan during her run of trials, and also revealing his bond with Rosemary.
“She’s the type that rarely exists anymore,” he said. “Those old films of the 50s, no nonsense women who stride about the place. She’s completely random as well. Although she’s a brilliant cook it goes everywhere.”
Colin’s departure comes after Nadine Dorries, Limahl and Linda Robson were all voted out of the jungle earlier this week, and Brian Conley departed after being taken ill.
The next celebrity will leave the camp on Monday night’s show.
